Want to plan your own trip? Heres what you need to know!

There are countless ways to plan a road trip. For some people, they won't want to plan much at all rather fly by the seat of their pants. For those a little more structured in their travel plans, there are two websites that worked wonders in helping us organize our trip that we would love to share with you all.

1. Roadtrippers

-  This website is free to sign up. It only takes a minute. 

-  Great and simple way to search all the destinations of your choice

- As you add specific destinations the site automatically creates a route best suitable.

- Most destinations are rated by the "rad-o-meter" which gives you a description of the destination and how much fun it is based on reviews posted by people who have visited. 

- Gas, Milage, and Drive time are all estimated for the trip to give you an idea of what your getting yourself into!   

2. Free Campsites

-  For the frugal travelers who hope to save some money on accommodations, this site helped us locate all the free campsites along our route. 

- Easy to navigate map...Just click the sate you wish to camp in and the campsites will appear.  

-  They have campgrounds listed that you can pay for as well  (more likely to have amenities...but if your looking to save money and don't mind roughing it...there are plenty of free sites across the country!!)
